A graduate of Sheffield University and the Mars Graduate Program, Nic joined his brother Neil at CMS in 2003. He spear-headed the expansion of the business beyond it’s North Eastern territory to make it one of the only nationwide providers of commercial gas services.
His primary role is the development and management of CMS’s key clients, including City FM, Travelodge and CBRE. He is also available 24/7 as technical support for any engineer requiring assistance, as well as ensuring the day-to-day operations of the business operate as seamlessly as possible. His mantra being that the Technical Managers need to be aware of ‘Every Job Every Day’.
As a Scouser who has found himself on Tyneside he watches his beloved Everton as often as possible, when not doing that he is normally found at the front of cycling endurance races.
Bennet joined CMS in early 2018 as the Commercial Director with responsibility for Finance, HR, Fleet and Marketing, as well as forming part of the Senior Management Team.
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in London with Deloitte. He then worked in venture capital funds in Africa and the West Indies, before returning to the North East to run a small environmental biotechnology company on Teesside. He successfully led this company through 2 venture capital transactions.
He considers that his role within the business is to ensure that it is in the best possible condition to manage the exponential growth it continues to generate, with a particular focus on cash and cash generation.
In his free time he can usually be found attempting to track down at least one of his four children!
Chris joined CMS in Nov-17 as Projects Director, responsible for the running of the companies Projects dept., managing a projects team as well as our team of Mechanical Installation Engineers and also the small Joinery & Building team.
Chris is a Chartered Engineer and experienced Project Manager who has worked across a wide variety of industry sectors including defence, rail, and offshore energy; ranging from concept, through design, manufacture and construction to in-service support.
During his career, Chris has worked on several multi-million pound projects throughout the UK and internationally. He joined CMS tasked with growing the projects division and increasing the size and complexity of the projects the company delivers.
In his “spare time”, Chris also coaches a boys football team, currently at under 13, which presents its own challenges, and works part-time as a Dad-Taxi driver!
Southern Team Leader
Greg started at CMS in 2017 with initial responsibility for managing the Midlands team. This area stretched from Merseyside in the North West to Ipswich in the South East. As the team grew and customer density increased the teams were split and Greg now has overall responsibility for monitoring the performance for East and West Midlands and South teams; roughly the UK South of the M62. Ensuring SLA’s are met, customers are kept informed and the team remain engaged and committed.
He is an experienced Manager with a demonstrable track record of working in the facilities services industry, including over 15 years spent at TarMac. He is skilled in negotiation, operations management, sales, team building, and management. He is a strong support professional with a BSc (Hons) focused in Animal Sciences from University of Nottingham.
When not hard at work he is happiest up to his elbows in his collection of vintage 4x4s and tractors.
Regional Manager – Scotland
Geoff joined CMS in 2003 as an apprentice. After qualifying he worked on our catering, laundry, installation and boiler maintenance teams as both an engineer and supervisor.
He then became a Regional Technical Manager for CMS’ North team and helped grow it to the point where it needed to be split into 2 regions.
He now manages the Scotland team and sees his role as continuing to help grow it and business by developing our client base and engineers.
Prior to working for CMS Geoff was a Lance Corporal in the Grenadier Guards.
In his spare time Geoff enjoys fishing and spending time with his family.
Regional Manager – North
Ambitious and highly motivated, Adam joined CMS in 2019 as the Technical Manager for the North Region for a team of Heating Engineers, Plumbers and Apprentices.
A capable and enthusiastic member of the management team, with an engineering background and friendly nature quickly develops good relationships with all stakeholders. Adam has a wealth of practical experience gained from extensive and varied roles within the industry and continuously developed management skills through the Institute of Leadership and Management.
Currently focusing on growing client base, expanding services and developing the engineering team.
Hobbies include performing with his bands, attending music concerts & festivals and reading

Regional Manager – Catering
Chris comes from an electrical/electronic background having worked in electrical roles from an early age, and after studying electrical & electronic engineering at university.
He then went on to work in domestic appliance repairs covering all aspects of laundry, cooking and refrigeration. After almost 10 years doing domestic, he moved over to commercial repairs and joined CMS.
During his time here he’s progressed through many aspects of commercial trades, including PAT testing, F-gas refrigeration and Gas-safe gas qualifications. In the past 12 years he’s worked his way up from an engineer, to supervisor and to recently being promoted to technical manager with responsibility for the Catering team.
When he’s not busy with work he enjoys getting out and about on his motorbike, and plans to do a bit of touring!
